You know why they tell you to “act as if” when you’re trying to accomplish a goal? Because that’s quite literally the thing that has to happen for the goal or dream to be realized. I think it’s a lot harder than some people think to do that, especially if their feelings are at stake.
If you say you’re the person that does big bold things then you have to start taking big bold actions. If you say you’re a person that’s going to write every day or work out every day or not drink then all you have to do is just do that. It’s about making the choice over and then making it again. Spoiler alert: That doesn’t mean it gets easier though.
