Just some of my thoughts this morning. I knew no matter what this morning was going to be tense. I’m looking down the line though at how they’re going to get to do all the things they said they were going to do all for shareholder profits and all because of sexism and racism.

On a rainy Tuesday morning, I voted for Kamala Harris. I wasn’t expecting the wave of emotions that hit as I looked at her and Tim Walz’s names on the touchscreen in front of me. She was my choice in the 2020 primary. I remember clearly the relief I felt this summer the morning Biden stepped down and the buzz of who would step up thinking she was the only logical choice. Then the speculation about her VP pick and then we got Coach Walz. I’ve been critical of Harris and will remain such. She needs to make some massive turns towards doing what’s most right for humanity and our planet. Turns I know her opponent would never take. I think back to 2023 when she visited Cape Coast Castle in Ghana where hundreds of thousands of people were trafficked into slavery. I still remember seeing how emotionally raw she was in that video, her humanity on display. That’s the person I’m voting for. That’s the person I am choosing to fight towards making our country a more perfect union and an actual leader in the global community not as the “most lethal fighting force” but as humans recognizing our shared humanity and the horrific mistakes of our past, both distant and recent. She’s going to let me down in ways I don’t yet know, but I also know she’s going to make me proud in ways I might not yet expect. Right now, I am going to lean in to feeling proud of voting for not only our first woman president but our first Black woman president and first South Asian woman president. There is joy in that and I’m leaning into joy wherever I can always. ✌🏻🇺🇸 #vote

First session post install in the books. Finally remember to take a pic while @starter.wife was listening back before we bounced the mix. Caleb helped me decide on the color for the last two slim panels behind the desk when him and Tristan helped me drop off my new desk chair they helped build. I think the parchment was a nice choice. 😊 Kind of thinking I miss having a plant by the desk though. Whatcha think? Should I get a second one and get a little color over there too? 🌱 🪴

Halloween 2024 in the books. Our little Grim Reape

Halloween 2024 in the books. Our little Grim Reaper and Robot Ninja had a blast! Their costume parade at school was great and then I got to take them trick-or-treating while The Sorceress stayed home to pass out candy. We even got to swing over to their Baba & Dido’s house so the boys could show off their costumes. I was just me this year and honestly it was kind of great not dressing up. 🎃

Started cleaning up after the panel install. Love having the studio so close to home. Truly a gift. Couldn’t get a photo of the iso booth but I’m not mad about how the double glass reflects in the camera. Looking forward to get the desk situated and everything back up & running for a session on Sunday. And a new rug. My little gigging rug is great but not the vibe. And the vibes are very good if I do say so myself. 😎

After a super busy Saturday, it was nice to spend

After a super busy Saturday, it was nice to spend a beautiful fall day with @tneczwid and the boys at one of our favorite spots. We visited some adorable hungry friends, petted the biggest bunny I’d ever seen, the boys got to ride on farm gear, zip lines, and the haunted wagon ride. I saw a dog that looked so much like my soul mate Caesar that I had to go introduce myself and show a pic to her owners. These are already the days we look back on with appreciation. Life is short and I’m grabbing every bit of beautiful out of it that I can.

Lovely little night behind the kit for @starter.wife opening the night up at Sub-T. Love playing music with these boys. Had to have a rare quick night and scoot so I’m glad I got to hear Six Foot Blonde sound check their sold out show and hang with the fine folks in Sunqueen Thanks for being awesome y’all! Came home and caught the neighbors hard core Halloween decorations primed and ready. 🎃🤘🏻 Oh and I got the last panels and curtains up. Can’t wait to get this work space all cleaned up. 😃 Unsarcastically #LivingTheDream

If you were planning to come Saturday I hope you got a ticket cause this show has officially sold out! I’m excited to debut these new @starter.wife songs. I’m so proud of the work Aym has done on their record and honored to be a part of it. It’s been a blast prepping for these shows and as always we’re keeping it 100% queer. All are welcome, so long as you can get a ticket. 😁 See you tomorrow at 7pm sharp!
